About Studio

IN-HOUSE COMPOSITING

Rebels was established in 2019 by three successful visual effects artists with 63 combined years in the industry. They bring their respective strengths to offer productive solutions which effectively save time and budget for clients.

More specifically, Rebels is a reliable in-house visual effects studio providing such services as look development, temporary visual effects for Director’s Cuts and internal screenings, and Final VFX for delivery to DI.

Rebels is based in Los Angeles to provide a physical presence at your Production office which, as you know, is the most effective way for Directors, Supervisors and Editors to work through creative ideas with visual effects. Many of our Compositing Artists work remotely and many are also located in Los Angeles which allows us keep
things running without delays.

Rebels leverages our ‘bag of tricks’ to solve challenges, whether simple or complex, primarily with 2D solutions. We have the ability to take on unique shots designated for 3D work and we can achieve great results with 3D or 2D solutions.

Our Process

Rebels comes as a package including a Team Lead, additional Senior Compositors as needed, a dedicated and backed-up server for in-house, proprietary tools, licensed and supported compositing workstations and a powerful render farm.

Further, Rebels has the ability to scale along with your needs. We often begin a project with the Lead who dials in the pipeline, then we bring on one to five additional compositing artists as determined at the outset. The same strategy repeats in reverse upon wrap of a show. We keep costs down by maintaining small teams of kick-ass artists.
